About the game

Bumba the game design is based off the ideas of the creator’s 5 years old son, Mark. “Bumba” is Mark’s first word after “mama” and “papa” at the age of 1 year and it means… ball. Every ball or balloon was BUMBA!

How to play

The game starts with an empty space we call bucket and a ball over it. The controls are pretty simple: touch the screen an move left or right to move the ball, release touch to drop it. Once dropped, another ball appears over the bucket. Drop the balls and combine 3 of the same color to make them disappear and get points. The bigger ball is, the more points you get.
There are 3 main balls behaviors:

  • Static: a ball of random color and fixed size appears and remains steady until it is dropped.
  • Breathe: a “breathing” ball of random color appears inflates to the maximum size, then deflates to minimal size, and inflates again and again. Once dropped it becomes steady and the size does not change.
  • Rush: a ball of even less than minimal size appears with random color, it pulsates and grows over time. If not dropped after about 9 seconds the ball explodes and reduces your points by 9.

In the right top corner you can find ball predictor, it works fine if your bucket is empty or has just few balls, but the more balls you have the lesser chance it can predict the next ball. If you have more than 33 balls in the bucket it fails persistently.
Goal of the game: collect as many points as you can.
You can also remove any ball by simply clicking the X button and watching an ad. Once you completed watching an ad, pick any ball in the bucket and it explodes and clears space for other balls.
You lose if at least one ball falls out of the bucket or is the Rush ball explodes when you have less than 10 points.
Even with all the given simplicity people still lose sometimes.
Good luck.
